Human being to a mob.

What’s a mob to a king?

What’s a king to a God?

What’s a God to a non-believer who don’t believe in anything?

Recently I’ve been chewing on this lyric…

What is one to the masses?
What is the cost of a human life to human lives, where an individual face, a single story can be heaped atop a pile of carcasses or stocked beside a cage of bodies to fund a cause.
A profit to serve a king, a ruler, a dictator, a druglord, the leaders of a syndicate, an entitled, smug citizen of Western wealth.

…Zoom out and what are they to God?

God, who made him the same as He made the pawn in our game.
God who has an overriding, neverending story above human history.
God who gives everything its life, sustains it and takes it away.
God who doesn’t work on our currency or our time.

And what is God to someone when he can’t see Him?
What does God matter when He is not matter?
He doesn’t matter.
What matters is matter. What I got, what I can get and any way I can get it.
